Curriculum Vitae

Prof. LI Xiang

Prof. Xiang Li received his PhD degree from Nankai University in July 2002. He was postdoctoral research fellow at City University of Hong Kong (2002-2004), associate professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (2004-2007), and Alexander von Humboldt Fellow in Germany (2005-2006). He has been full professor at Fudan University since 2008 where he currently serves as the Head of Electronic Engineering Department since April 2010. He received the honor of Shanghai Science and Technology Rising Star from Shanghai Science and Technology Committee in 2005 and 2009, and the New Century Excellent Talent from the MOE of China in 2009. He is the receipt of Guillemin-Cauer Best Transaction Paper Award from the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society in 2005, and Shanghai Natural Science Award Class) from Shanghai Municipality in 2008. He is IEEE Senior Member, and serves as Associate Editor or Guest AE (1of <IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems-I: Regular Papers>, <Control Engineering Practice>, <International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos>, <IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Newsletters> and etc, and several IEEE Technical Committee Members. He has been Principal Investigator of more than 10 research grants from NSF of China and Shanghai government, and has (co-)authored 2 monographs and more than 40 top journal publications, which have received more than 600 ISI citations.
Research Fields
His research interests mainly cover (1) Theories and applications of complex adaptive networks including empirical analyses and modelling, synchronization and control, epidemic spreading, evolutionary game, time series, and human population dynamics; (2) Adaptive control and cognition of complex networking systems including predictive control, multi-agent systems and flocking control; (3) Complexity and game in artificial life and financial networks.
